BARVOYA · SUPPORT & LEGAL
Privacy Policy
Clear information about your account, your collection, and your choices.
Last updated: October 11, 2026
1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Barvoya handles information when you use the Barvoya app, visit its support website, or contact support. It covers the features available in your version of the app. Availability can vary by platform and release; some features are available only in development or testing builds.
For privacy questions or requests, contact barvoyasupport@gmail.com.
2. Information the app handles
- Account information: your email address, account identifier, and sign-in information. When you choose Google sign-in, Google and Firebase provide information needed to authenticate you, which can include your name and email address. Email/password sign-in is handled through Firebase Authentication.
- Your bar and preferences: product labels, ingredient types, brands, sizes, quantities, stock status, preferred spirits and flavors, and shopping preferences.
- Cocktail activity: recipes available to your account, daily selections, saved or passed cocktails, made-history counts, shopping-list entries, and related progress.
- Purchase information: subscription products, purchase identifiers, purchase state, and account-association information needed to check Premium access. Where subscriptions are offered, the app store used for your purchase handles payment details. Barvoya does not receive your full payment-card number.
- Technical and security information: service providers may process request and device information, such as IP addresses, app/device identifiers, app versions and integrity signals, to operate and protect their services.
- Support messages: your email address and whatever information you include when contacting support.
3. How information is used
Information is used to sign you in, store and synchronize your collection, remember your preferences and progress, provide the features you request, confirm subscription access, protect accounts, and respond to support or deletion requests.
Barvoya does not sell your personal information. The app does not contain advertising placements. Optional diagnostic information is used to understand app usage and reliability, as described below.
4. Local storage and cloud services
The app keeps account-scoped inventory, preferences, recipes, progress and shopping information in local storage on your device. When account services are configured, Firebase Authentication manages sign-in and Cloud Firestore stores and synchronizes account data. Firebase App Check helps protect service access. Firebase Remote Config can provide non-secret feature-availability settings.
Signing out does not delete your account or its cloud data, and account data may remain cached on that device. Removing the app does not itself request deletion of your cloud account. Local demo information in development builds is kept on that device rather than synchronized to a cloud account.
5. Optional diagnostics
Optional diagnostics are off by default. The setting under Profile or account settings → Optional diagnostics controls Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collection. When enabled, these services may collect feature events, app/device metadata, identifiers and crash information according to their service practices. Barvoya's feature events do not intentionally include inventory contents, photos, passwords or email addresses.
Disabling diagnostics stops the app from enabling further collection through that setting; it does not automatically erase information already submitted. Development builds can also produce on-device diagnostic logs containing account identifiers and operation metadata.
6. AI requests and photos
Public AI features are currently unavailable. Development or testing builds may enable AI ingredient recognition, photo analysis or cocktail generation. Purchasing Premium does not activate AI that is unavailable in your build.
When you explicitly use an enabled AI feature, the information needed for that request is sent to OpenAI. Depending on the feature, this may include ingredient text, a photo you select or capture, available ingredient types, taste preferences, cocktail feedback and relevant recipe information. Only send material you have permission to share.
Barvoya does not save submitted photos to your bar or Firebase. Temporary app-created camera files are removed after they are read or discarded. Your original photo remains wherever it was stored on your device. AI recipe results and progress can be saved to your account. OpenAI's handling and retention of request information are governed by its applicable service practices; these requests should not be treated as having guaranteed zero retention.
AI output can be inaccurate. Review recognized ingredients and recipe instructions before acting on them. If public AI is enabled later, this policy and relevant disclosures will be reviewed for that release.
7. Providers and processing locations
Barvoya uses providers to deliver requested services, including Google/Firebase for authentication, cloud storage, app security and optional diagnostics; the purchasing app store, such as Google Play or Apple’s App Store where supported, for subscriptions; OpenAI for AI requests in builds where those features are enabled; and Cloudflare for this website's hosting. Support emails are handled through Gmail.
Providers may process information on systems outside your country under their applicable terms and privacy practices. Review their information here:

- Apple Privacy Policy

- Cloudflare Privacy Policy
Information may also be disclosed where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect accounts, prevent abuse, or exercise legal rights.
8. Retention and account deletion
Account and collection information is retained while it is needed to provide your account's features, until you remove it or request account deletion. Recipe history and daily caches have storage limits, so not every unsaved item remains available indefinitely. Removal of individual items can leave deletion or synchronization metadata until account cleanup. Support messages are retained while needed to handle the request and for legitimate security or legal purposes.
You can delete your account in Profile or account settings → Delete account and data, or request deletion without installing the app through the account-deletion page or by emailing barvoyasupport@gmail.com. Account ownership may need to be verified.
Account deletion removes the Firebase sign-in account and its stored bar, preference, cocktail, progress and shopping data. The in-app deletion flow also clears that account's local cache on the device completing deletion. It requires a working connection and may require a recent sign-in; interrupted cleanup may need to be resumed.
A minimal security record is retained without an automatic expiry: the deleted account's identifier and deletion-start timestamp. It prevents old sessions from recreating deleted cloud data. This record does not contain the bar collection, recipes or password.
Deletion does not remotely erase local copies on other devices, messages already sent by email, or records retained by service providers under their own legal or security requirements. Provider-held information may be subject to separate deletion requests. Contact support if you need help identifying those requests.
Deleting a Barvoya account does not cancel an app-store subscription. Manage cancellation separately through the store where you subscribed. Account deletion is not conditional on first canceling a subscription.
9. Your choices, rights and security
You can edit your bar and preferences, manage optional diagnostics, choose whether to submit an AI request, and request account deletion. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to access, correct, receive a copy of or object to certain uses of your personal information. Contact barvoyasupport@gmail.com to make a request; verification may be required to protect your account.
The app uses secure network connections and access controls intended to restrict cloud data to the appropriate account. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
Barvoya is intended for adults and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact support so it can be reviewed and addressed.
10. Visiting this website
These static support pages do not include advertising or analytics scripts, and do not set their own tracking cookies or browser storage. Cloudflare may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, request times, URLs and browser information, to serve and protect the website. Hosting security features may use their own cookies.
Email buttons open your email application. A deletion request is sent only when you send the email; the website does not automatically delete an account or submit a hidden form.
11. Updates and contact
This policy may be updated as the app or its data handling changes. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated where required.
